Beautiful Lake Idro near the Dolomites Sporcamping & Glamping Resort Rio Vantone is located right by Lake Idro, just south of the beautiful Dolomites. Lake Idro with its beautiful and fine pebble beaches and wonderful scenery is a lesser-known attraction in the Northern Italian lake district. The lake is located between its big brothers such as Lake Garda and Lake Como, but it is a bit more intimate.   The pure Idro-lake Lake Idro has the purest water and motorboats are not allowed, so (paddle) surfers, sailors and swimmers have plenty of room here. This lovely campsite in Italy is located near the water on fairly flat grassland, with neat, marked out pitches. There is a shallow paddling pool and a playground especially for the little ones. East of Idro, the Parco dell’Alto Garda Bresciano is an enormous nature reserve that stretches all the way to the western shore of Lake Garda. Do not miss the Valvestino reservoir. At low tide, you can still see a customs office on the lake. On the western side of Lake Idro, you will find the impressive fortress Rocca d’Anfo. North of the campsite is the mountainous province of Trentino or Alto Adige. A must in the Dolomites is the valley of the Brenta, the rugged Dolomiti di Brenta. There are enough cultural day trips or city tours in the region: Milan, Brescia, Verona and even Venice are easy to reach for a day!
