Description

We offer a place of beauty and tranquillity that you can enjoy in a simple way. Nature is your companion on this journey. By watching the flowing river and listening to the constant sound of the water, you can wash your whole being, cleanse yourself deeply and live fully present in every moment. The light and breathable architecture of a cotton tent will welcome you as a sanctuary, a shelter from rain and emotions. A simple interior with a comfortable double bed, a light source, some cushions and a wood-burning stove for cool evenings will offer you the comfort and charm of a truly beautiful hideaway. The wood-fired spa, fed by spring water from the forest, offers you the most wonderful bath of your life. As you warm your body, indulge your senses with the smell of fire and let your thoughts float away. Move from the hot water to the cool water of the river and let the thermal contrast revitalize your heart and awaken your soul. The tent is located about 30 meters from the mill house, where there is a kitchen with the essentials for cooking. Outside the mill house, protected by a wood and canvas structure, there is a bathroom. We emphasize that these infrastructures have been built with materials that are as recycled as possible and creatively put together. This is an opportunity for people who want a break from „normal“ habits and lifestyles. For this reason, we do not offer internet. We would rather invite you to connect with the land, the sound of the river, the surrounding trees and rocks. For a few days we invite you to do nothing, absolutely nothing, to enjoy the lack of commitments and to be truly present with yourself. If you wish, we can provide you with help and advice. For example, if lighting the fire is not your strong point, we can help you. If you wish, we can also accompany you as a nature guide to discover the surrounding hiking trails and natural beauty. We can recommend the best things to see and taste in the area. All this is located in the Beigua Natural Park. The river separates the provinces of Savona and Genoa. Hills and mountains separate your tent from the sea, which is very close as the crow flies. Nearby is the famous Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, a path that runs along the Apennine ridge and offers incredible views of the sea. The Faiallo Pass, with incredible views over the sea, is half an hour away from here. The nearby Cistercian abbey of Tiglieto, built in 1120 on behalf of the order and recently restored, is worth a visit. An hour’s drive will take you to the sea at Varazze or the city of Genoa. In an hour and a half you can be by the sea in the Camogli area, the Portofino peninsula. In two hours you can reach the Cinque Terre. If you want to taste wines and typical Italian dishes, lower Piedmont is half an hour’s drive away. The Ovada area is here, with wine productions worthy of attention, including Dolcetto and Barbera among the wines to remember.
