Hidden green valley in southern Sicily

The idea of camping is certainly not the usual one. This campsite is a place where you can truly escape the trappings of the city and return to live an experience in contact with nature. A campsite with the aim of having as little impact on the environment as possible while creating a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. There is space for tents in the food forest. For now, the bathroom is a tent with a composting toilet that treats solid waste by composting and dewatering, resulting in an end product that can be used as an organic soil conditioner in agriculture. The shower water is heated by the sun. The kitchen is external and consists of a simple stove and sink equipped with cooking utensils (the fridge is not available) and drinking water. You camp in a valley with a great variety of species. Think oranges, lemons, carrots, walnuts, persimmons, loquats, figs, apples, avocados and so on. There is a small river where you can cool off. We are three people living and working together with a permaculture philosophy and lifestyle. We grow a wide variety of organic fruit and vegetables that you can buy fresh on site. When you camp here, you can enjoy a lifestyle in close contact with nature. We are very close to some nature reserves called Vendicari, Cava grande and Pantalica. On foot you can visit the ruins of Noto Antica, old water mills and tanneries hidden in a beautiful little gorge.
