Take the whole family to the zoo, or visit an exciting Viking show at Puy du Fou history park. Fresh fish in Jard-sur-Mer The Océano d’Or campsite is located in a beautiful spot on the French coast. You will be camping in the beautiful old harbour town of Jard-sur-Mer, just one kilometre from the beach. Camping so close to the sea has many advantages. Not only is it easy to plunge into the seawater, you can also enjoy walking and cycling along the coast. The pine forests of the Vendée are lovely to stroll around in. And after a walk in the woods or on the beach, you will find plenty of restaurants to choose from. In Jard-sur-Mer you can enjoy freshly caught fish at one of the many restaurants in the beautiful marina. Discover the sea with a jet ski! Would you like to race over the sea in a banana boat or drive a jet ski yourself? On the French coast you can enjoy an exciting water sports adventure. Cycle or walk a kilometre and you are already at the port of Jard-sur-Mer. Or on the sandy beach. That’s great for sunbathing and swimming! The southern Vendée has the sunniest beaches in all of Western France. Would you rather stay on the campsite itself? Here, too, you can swim with the children. The swimming pools and slides of the water park provide many hours of watery fun. Would you prefer to take it easy? The sunbeds are waiting for you! The palm trees give the water park a pleasant tropical touch. A campsite for sports enthusiasts At the Océano d’Or campsite, sports enthusiasts can choose from a variety of sports fields. This way you can play your favourite sport during your camping holiday. Want to play football or basketball with the kids? Or maybe you prefer tennis? There’s a lot to do for the kids in any case. Pony riding, theatre shows, disco nights: the entertainment team will be happy to take care of your children. There’s even a large gameroom, full of fun games. But the children will also have a great time on the pirate ship in the playground. And after such a long day of playing, it’s time for some real French fries from France! Be a knight, or pet the animals You can alternate days on the beach with trips out; there is plenty to do for the whole family in the area. Seven kilometres from the campsite you will find the historic village of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire. The old fortress hosts some great medieval shows, with knights on horseback! You can also enjoy shows with knights in Puy du Fou, where vikings and gladiators also compete. Super exciting! This famous theme park is just an hour’s drive from the campsite. A little too rough for you? Sables d’Olonnes, the Zoological Park, is only twenty minutes by car.
