Ringlokschuppen in einem Naturpark Serra de São Mamede

The Roundhouse is located at the foot of the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, near the medieval village of Castelo de Vide. The unique location of the wild camping site on which the Roundhouse is situated and the surrounding area make the area a popular place for hikers, cyclists, nature and culture lovers, birdwatchers, artists and those seeking peace and quiet. It is a wonderful place to relax. There is a hammock and a table with two adjustable garden chairs. The Roundhouse is a well-insulated round stone house. The (limited) electricity is generated by a solar panel and the cottage can be heated with a wood-burning stove on cold evenings. There is no Wi-Fi available, but if you want (portable) Wi-Fi, we can provide this for an extra charge. The cottage has a small double bed (1.20 x 1.90 m) with a thick mattress, a dining table with 2 chairs, a small kitchen with gas stove, a wall unit, chairs with table by the wood stove and lighting. There is no running water in the roundhouse. Hot and cold (drinking) water is available in the nearby sanitary building (approx. 50 meters on foot from the Roundhouse). You have access to a simple, private shower room (with hot water) and a private toilet room. The toilet block also has a small outdoor kitchen with sink, extra gas stove and fridge (40 liters). You can also take a seat at a picnic table under a bamboo roof. The Roundhouse is accessible by car. You can park your car at the Roundhouse.
