Lovely family campsite by the Baltic Sea The Markgrafenheide campsite is located directly on the white beaches of the Baltic Sea, near Rostock. You will be camping in a real holiday paradise here. Camping Markgrafenheide is located right behind the dunes and you can walk along a short footpath to what is probably the most beautiful stretch of beach in Northern Germany. The campsite is located just above Rostock in natural landscape of about 30 hectares. Countryside, culture and adventure Camping and Ferienpark Markgrafenheide is an ideal holiday destination at any time of the year, whether you want an active holiday or like the countryside and culture. The campsite itself offers many opportunities for sport, including tennis and squash. You can take lovely beach walks here in spring and autumn. You can also hire bikes, even e-bikes at the campsite. The stylish spa/wellness centre has a lovely new swimming pool, solarium and sauna facilities and much more. You can also go to the cinema area. These amenities are also great in the low seasons. Relaxed camping or in a nice house The relaxing atmosphere in the grounds of the Markgrafenheide campsite is striking. Some of the camping pitches are positioned under trees, however there are also pitches with less shade. There are lovely bungalows and holiday homes with a veranda and patio available for those who want them. The open-air cocktail bar is a favourite meeting point. You can also eat in the on-site restaurant. Warnemünde and the Hanseatic town of Rostock There is plenty to see in the vicinity of Camping Markgrafenheide: the lively harbour of Warnemünde, where gigantic cruise ships from all over the world moor, or the old Hanseatic city of Rostock with its parks and Baroque buildings. There are several ferry services linking Warnemünde and Rostock and with the towns in the bay where Markgrafenheide is located. The Ozeaneum (a sea aquarium) is also worth visiting.
